Xbox Live soon to cost 10USD Per month?

There has been a lot of talk over the price of Xbox Live in the last year, with rumours of it's monthly subscription being chopped to compete with the PlayStation Network which is free. According to analyst Michael Pachter however, Live will soon cost you $10 per month (an increase to the current price). Speaking on the latest Bonus Round, he said;
"I think they're [OnLive] going to charge something around ten bucks a month, so it'll be about what the new Xbox Live Gold price is going to be"
Obviously Pachter's brought us a lot of rumours in the past few months, but if this does become reality, surely it'll turn people away from the Xbox 360.
Xbox Live Gold (12 month subscription) is currently $49.99 is the US whilst UK gamers can get it for £34.99. We'll bring you any updates regarding Xbox Live.

Actually it hasn't been debunked you dumbass fanboy. Microsoft have not confimed whether the price of Xbox LIVE will be going up, down or staying the same. I can't see this becoming a reality, however. I know Microsoft have a habit of ripping people off as much as they can but to charge $120 a year for what is exactly the same as the (Free) PSN? Even Microsoft can't be that stupid.

The monthly cost is $7.99 so going to $10 a month is an increase. Who taught you your math G. W. Bush?
