Splinter Cell website 'hacked'

Thursday, 26 Nov 2009 - 17:03PM

The Splinter Cell website has been 'hacked', Ubisoft just revealed on their twitter page;

"www.splintercell.com has been hacked. We are trying our best to resolve the situation and will update ASAP"

You will be greeted by a message in Russian which discusses something to do with a security system. We've translated it for you (via the brilliant Google Translate);

"Occasionally the security system will be switched off for planned work and data protection. During such work may be a breach in security from external threats. Thus, all off would be a random character in accordance with a random pattern of Delta-3-6-Oscar"

See the site here. The next instalment in the Splinter Cell series, Conviction will be released on February 23, 2010 on Xbox 360 and PC.
