Reeves Predicts New Generation In 2 Years Time

Capcom's David Reeves believes the next generation of console gaming will emerge in two years time, stating "first-parties have got to be working on something"

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are currently attempting to extend the life cycle of their own consoles, dismissing the possibility of a new generation along the way. Reeves though, believes new household consoles will be ready in the next couple of years.

"Two to three years, I reckon so." he said, when questioned by GI.biz, on the topic of a new console generation. "I don't have any inside information. All the first-parties have got to be working on something."

Is it possible? Sure. After all, PlayStation Move, Kinect and Wii MotionPlus aren't going to be the hype forever, and neither are the consoles.
