With very little time left to wait before Samus Aran's latest adventure space jumps its way into Wiis across the world, it's about time we heard some verdicts.
Japanese magazine Famitsu (like the bible, only Japanesier) gave Metroid: Other M a sterling 9/9/8/9, 35/40. A good start.
US magazine Game Informer awarded the title a solid 8/10, saying, 'Samus animates well, the environments are varied and the cutscenes are of the highest calibre'.
Finally, Best Buy's magazine @Gamer stamped a healthy 4/5 on Other M. It said, 'It may not be the pinnacle of the series, but longtime fans shouldn't let that deter them from checking out an overall enjoyable experience. Again, it's all about managing your expectations.'
So far, so good, although not quite as high praise as perhaps the hype has led gamers to believe.
