Zipper Interactive developing Vita exclusive shooter Unit 13

SOCOM and MAG developer Zipper Interactive has revealed it’s developing a PlayStation Vita exclusive third-person shooter titled Unit 13.
The game will make use of the handheld’s front and back touch interfaces, with players choosing one of six Operatives to push through 36 missions – some “bite-sized”, some larger – in nine different locations. Progression will see High Value Target enemy battles unlocked.
Zipper says Unit 13’s live notification interface will offer leaderboard positions, new unlocks and shared HVT missions, as well as daily challenge content from friends as they takeover your online position. Co-op is also set to feature, with teams competing for top spot on the global leaderboards.
Unit 13 won’t be launching alongside the Vita in Europe, but will apparently emerge on store shelves “right around” the same time.
