An explanation to the lower price of Ridge Racer on PlayStation Vita may have been found following a Japanese media event.

Impress Watch and Famitsu were two of the sites successful in getting some hands-on time with the Namco Bandai racer, but the following impressions from both – as translated by Adriasang – claim the final game features just three tracks and five cars.

The three tracks included - Harborline 765, Highland Cliffs and Southbay Docks – can already be seen in previous Ridge Racer titles. It’s also reported that the game will run at 30fps, and that both digital and boxed versions require a memory card to play.

Apparently, Namco Bandai is planning to release DLC following the game’s release, but it’s unknown whether or not that will come at a price. We should hope not.
