Call of Duty for PlayStation Vita is still very much on its way and, according to Sony, will be hitting the soon-to-be-released handheld platform later on this year.

During a chat with Geoff Keighley in the latest episode of GTTV, SVP of PlayStation brand marketing Guy Longworth revealed that the unnamed title will be arrive sometime in the autumn before speaking of his kids’ love for shooters.

He said: "they're really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita, and we think that's going to be an absolute game-changer for the platform."

Activision did of course highlight its support for Vita during the system’s announcement last year, with its top franchise leading the way. Fingers crossed it will bring the much-needed "meaningful innovation" so far promised for this year’s console versions.
