Zipper Interactive Announce SOCOM 4

Remember that new Sony exclusive everybody's been speculating about? Well its turned out to be SOCOM 4 from MAG developer Zipper Interactive.

What we know so far - thanks to Jeremy Dunham, Sr. Community Manager at Zipper Interactive - is that the game takes place in a South Asian country, where a militant revolutionary has unexpectedly seized control. As part of the Ops Com, your on hand to command an elite five-man squad over a six day period, leading them through the jungle and into urban environments. Just what we've been waiting for.

The game also features a 32-player multiplayer mode and will be released later this year exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The debut trailer will be shown on GameTrailers TV tonight in North America.
