Bad Company 2: Not all that modern?
Whilst in the process of my daily ESRB ratings check, I came across the summary for EA DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2. To my surprise, it seems to reveal that the game starts with some missions set in World War II. The summary of the rating states;
"In single-player mode, players conduct missions on an unnamed Japanese island during World War II and then move into the modern day through jungles, deserts, and snowy terrain."
We were only expecting the game to offer a modern combat scenario, but it seems we'll once again be going back in time with an FPS. It could be a test of DICE's to see the reaction they receive from console gamers on their own World War II setting, which could lead to their very own Call of Duty: World at War rival.
If it's anywhere near as good as the modern setting, we'll be more than happy.
