Update: We've been in contact with Sony this morning, who told us that "with regards to LBP2, we don't comment on rumour or speculation."

Original: Despite Sony knocking a November release date on Media Molecule's creativity machine LittleBigPlanet 2, speculation is today claiming the game's release may be pushed into 2011.

The word comes from French site PS3Gen, who claim to have spoken to "an inside source" telling that the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive "would be delayed until next year."

Whether it's true or not is yet to be revealed, but there are two possible sides to this one. The first going against is the fact that we're extremely close to the November release for a traditional delay to occur. One supporting it though, is the sales competition from titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, Gran Turismo 5, Assassins Creed: Brotherhood, as well as a few others this fall, making it very understandable for Sony to hang fire.
