Can an InFamous Movie carry the success of the game?

There have been many, many rumors over an InFamous movie. The game was a hit and it was sure to he on its way to the big screen. This may have now been confirmed.

In a IMDb profile, 'Infamous'  is described as 'In Development'. So we could be seeing InFamous hitting the big screen in 2010 which realistically is just what the games industry needs, a brilliant follow on film.
