PlayStation Motion Controller Gets Named, Detailed, Demoed

In a separate post, we'll get some gameplay of the games demoed last night, including SOCOM 4. 

ORIGINAL STORY: The PlayStation 3 Motion Controller was put into the spotlight last night at the Game Developers Conference, being named as PlayStation Move.

Along with the second or third unveiling of the device, the new sub-controller was announced and shown off which comes with an analog stick and directional buttons that allow users to easily control the game when moving characters or choosing a direction.

The PlayStation Move platform, including the motion controller, sub-controller, and PlayStation Eye camera, together with a strong lineup of software titles, will deliver an innovative and highly immersive experience on the PS3 system. 

The platform will launch with a variety of packages: a starter package of the PlayStation Move, PlayStation Eye and sub-controller; one with a PlayStation 3 console; the PlayStation Move on its own for those who already have the PlayStation Eye.
