Medal of Honor Level has huge Modern Warfare 2 Similarity

The understandable reboot of Medal of Honor is the feature cover of this month’s (February 2010, Issue 56) Official Xbox 360 Magazine. In the feature pages, OXM told of their experience when they went to EA LA, and the developers were showing off an actual level from the gameplay, which is described;

The level EA shows off takes place in the small town of Gardez, south-east of Kabul. You’re being led by Voodoo through the streets at night, manning a turret gun on top of a jeep as you’re off to meet an informant. As you wind your way through the narrow streets, there’s a sense that something is wrong. Cue panicked shouting about tangos – and then a rocket-propelled grenade screams into the side of your jeep. The panicked shouting turns into hoarse screaming which you can only just make out through the ringing of your ears, as you stagger back to your feet and use your upturned jeep wreckage for cover.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen something this somewhere before. And not long ago. The first mission (excluding the training session) from Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, ‘Team Player’ is shown in the video below. There's no doubt the two games will have their differences, but watch it, and tell us what you think about any similarities;

It’s very coincidental, even considering that Modern Warfare 2 wasn’t out when EA LA started development on the game back in mid-2009. Whichever way, we’re looking forward to the reboot of the legendary first-person shooter series, and you should too.

Medal of Honor is out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in Autumn 2010, whilst Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is out now (as if we had to remind you) for the same platforms.

This situation is very common in urban combat.

The fact is that this is a very common event in the military and as such is going to and should be depicted in games of their genres. Id be here for far too long if i started listing all the fictional medias iv seen use the same thing with slight diffrences.

Both of these stole that beginning from the HBO show generation kill.
