Different developer possible.

Hideo Kojima has stated he wants to create a "complete version" of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but can't due to the current development of other titles.

The game, released back in 2007, is one of a few high profiles lacking Trophy support, something requested many times by fans. However, Kojima doesn't just want a downloadable patch for the game. Oh no. He wants the works, including 3D.

"I wanted to make a 'Complete Version' with trophy support and 3D, but if I did that I wouldn't be able to work on a new game." he posted on his personal Twitter account, kindly translated by Adriasang. "I wonder if someone else would make it for me."

So it's still unlikely, but still a possibility. Maybe, hopefully, someone will be willing to pick the project up ahead of the release of Metal Gear Solid: Rising next year.
