Over on the PlayStation Blog, SCEE have today announced two specialc editions of Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 5, both of which will be available on the game's launch.

First up is the Signature Edition, which is said to show the "beauty and precision" of the series, which first appeared on our PlayStation consoles in the late nineties. It's priced at €179.99, which is around £150 and will contain the following:

• Metal sculpted box finished in SLS AMG Obsidian Black
• Exclusive GT branded SLS AMG 1:43 model car
• GT leather wallet containing Signature Edition competition entry card
• Branded USB key with Polyphony/Mercedes-Benz trailer
• GT branded metal key fob
• Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the beautiful cars and locations of Gran Turismo 5
  200 page Apex drivers magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more

Secondly, there's your bog standard - yeah, right - Collector's Edition, featuring an exclusive slip case as well as the inlay art which is included in the Signature Edition, a dynamic theme for your XMB, five collectible art cards and an Apex driver’s magazine.

Oh, and we needn't forget that both the Signature Edition and Collector's Edition come with six  pre-order vehicles to use in-game.
