A new report claims Microsoft is looking to integrate Kinect into next-generation televisions.
Sources of The Daily have claimed the company wants the motion/voice peripheral in as many living rooms as possible, even if it isn’t hooked up to an Xbox 360.
“Microsoft is said to be in the early stages of licensing its Kinect technology to television hardware manufacturers like Vizio and Sony,” claims the report. It’s suggested the resulting product would network with local PCs running Windows.
It would be an interesting move, considering Apple is reported to be developing a Siri-powered television set.
