Square Enix Have FFXV Ideas, Says Series Can Go In Any Direction

Square Enix have previously stated that they don’t want the world-renowned Final Fantasy series to go anywhere. And they weren’t joking.
Final Fantasy XIII hasn’t even released in the west yet, and there still isn’t a lot of word about Final Fantasy XIV (Online). But the developing giant is already making plans for Final Fantasy XV (yes, 15!), as revealed by XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase.
When asked about the future of the series in the latest issue of Xbox World 360, Kitase admitted: “We’ve got a few ideas for Final Fantasy XV lined up, but there is no singular aim for where we want the series to go. Final Fantasy can go in all directions, each one is very different from the last. The one thing we set out to do is to make sure we tell a story that hasn’t been told before.”
The latest instalment of the franchise, XIII, releases for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 9. We expect that other instalments to the franchise will be shown at the E3 conference in June.

Anyone knows which issue of Xbox World 360 this Kitase interview appears in? I have the latest issue but I can't find this quote anywhere.

I disagree. I think that the game industry will always create new mainstays like FF and the others you mentioned David. Your opinion is valid and we should strive to keep the mainstays alive, however I do not think it will cause the industry to crumble. Sorry to break it to you but Final Fantasy is heading in the exact opposite direction. Turn-based battle systems have held the general public back from being able to embrace the amazing FF series. Starting with 13 it is heading towards realtime live action. Of course they will do it their own way, but the era of perfected turn-based is seemingly behind us and will stay that way. All the popular RPGs right now are incorporate some time of Real Time controls and FF will be no different moving forward.

Great news. There are certain franchises the games industry just couldn't survive without. Games like Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Mario, Sonic The Hedgehog and Grand Theft Auto NEED to stay alive. If you take down a supporting pillar - the entire industry crumbles. As for where i'd like to see the franchise go - return to your roots. Bring back the perfect Turn - Based Battle System of Final Fantasy X. As long as they can keep the story fresh each time, i wouldn't mind hearing about Final Fantasy 100.

Same question as Dorakogama, does anyone have any proof of this quote? It'd be helpful for my Final Fantasy XV fansite, this seems to be the only time Final Fantasy XV has actually been mentioned in a magazine by a developer. But I can't find any proof of it. :O
