Rumours of Devil May Cry 5 have, well, been around for a while now, and it did look like it was just a matter of time until we see an announcement. However, the latest issue of PSM3 are reporting that despite the game being in development, it isn’t on publisher Capcom’s two-year release schedule.

This information comes from ‘The Insider’ section of the magazine, where it states that a US source told them “Heavenly Sword dev, Ninja Theory, is working on Devil May Cry 5 for current-gen consoles.”

“We hear it isn’t currently on Capcom’s two year schedule, but don’t rule out a surprise announcement at E3” it concludes.

All previous instalments have been developed within Capcom, so it’s a little surprising to hear that Ninja Theory, who created the critically acclaimed Heavenly Sword, may be working on the next part of Dante’s story. Whoever’s developing it, whenever it’s released, we’ll welcome it.
