EA On Black 2: We're Flattered, But Still No Plans

Wednesday, 17 Mar 2010 - 18:14PM

Criterion Games' Black FPS was released back in 2007, and received a lot of praise from both public and critics. Many requests for a sequel to be developed were made, and even though it was in development at one time, Black 2 hasn't seen the light of day.

Unfortunately that's still the case, and will be for a while.

"The team is always flattered by the vast number of requests for a sequel to Black, ever since it launched" said an EA spokesperson in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine. "However, there are no plans for the foreseeable future for a sequel to Black. The team is very focused on Need For Speed"

So even though there is a slim chance of the game being developed, it's very, very unlikely. However, fans of the Criterion game may be interested in Bodycount - from Codemasters Guildford Studio - which is being worked on by former Black lead designer Stuart Black.
