Treyarch community manager Josh Olin has revealed that pre-orders for the studios upcoming title Call of Duty: Black Ops are outpacing the pre-orders for all previous titles in the franchise.

"This just in: #CODBlackOps pre-orders are out-pacing all other COD pre-orders to date." said Olin, on his personal Twitter page. "Thanks all for your support!"

The game is the latest in Activision's multi-million selling franchise, and will release this November across multiple platforms. It's no secret that hype has been gathering since its E3 gameplay unveiling back in June, but we really weren't expecting anything to outrun Modern Warfare 2.

Still, it can only be good news for studio Treyarch, who have been knocked time-after-time for staying with the World War II scenario. Now they're heading to Vietnam, and their belief that the game will eventually be the biggest in the series is coming true.
